Ford County Fair 2013

The 2013 Ford County Fair will be held June 23-29, 2013 at Melvin, IL

Time is flying by and the entry deadline for this year’s Ford County Fair is rapidly approaching. Talent show entries must be postmarked by this Friday, June 14. All other entries must be postmarked by Monday, June 17. Entries may also be made at the secretary’s office on the fairgrounds Monday, June 17 from noon to 4 p.m.

We have so many things going on at this year’s fair it’s hard to list them all! Be sure to check out other parts of this site to get all the info you need. Each evening has something special planned. You can find pictures of this year’s pageant contestants, get all the rules for the demolition derby, find out how to enter the rodeo, and get information on entering your future rodeo star in the mutton-busting contest. Of course none of these events would be possible without our sponsors.

Of course, we’re very excited about our headline act, Dustin Lynch with special guest Brushfire. Tickets can be ordered online until June 17. After that date you’ll be able to buy them at the gate the day of the concert. They can also be purchased at Moyer District Library, Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 21. On the day of the concert, no one will be able to enter the fairgrounds after 3 p.m. without a concert ticket.

You may be familiar with Dustin from his latest single, “She Cranks My Tractor,” as well as his #1 debut hit, “Cowboys and Angels.” He will be joining Keith Urban on tour this summer, but don’t wait until then—catch him right here in Melvin.

Also new to the fair this year will be the C Bar Rodeo on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Classes for both barrel racing and bull riding will be offered as well as events for the kids. Mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss this event!
