On the morning of Friday, August 16th, the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department and Gilman Police served a search warrant at two locations on North Main St. in Gilman, IL.  During the search, officers recovered hand tools, power tools, a chain saw and yard tools, jewelry, antique coins and other stolen items linking suspects to at least seven burglaries, thefts and residential burglaries in the Gilman, Danforth and Crescent City areas during the past few months.  Also seized at the residence was an a mount of Heroin, cannabis and durg paraphernalia.  Investigators arrested 34 year old Michael L. Causey and 34 year old David R. Blair Jr. in connection with the burglaries, thefts and possession of Herion.


Michael Causey was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1000’ of a school, seven counts of burglary, seven counts of theft, possession of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, within 1000’ of a school

David Blair Jr. was charged with Possession of a controlled substance within 1000’ of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, Residential Burglary and theft. 

Both Causey and Blair Jr. were transported to the Iroquois County Jail where they are being held in lieu of bond.
