July 17th Sheriff’s Police returned from Champaign County Jail with Anthony Morris, 25 Champaign wanted on an Iroquois County Warrant for Driving While License Suspended.  Morris later posted bond and was released

July 18th Justin J. Huckelby-Kraay, 27 Watseka turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail and was sentenced to 180 days (day for day w/9 days credit) in the Iroquois County Jail for Unlawful Financial Exploltation of an Elderly Person

July 18th Jason R. Muers, 35 Peoria turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail and was sentenced to 30 days (No day to day w/1 day credit_ in the Iroquois County Jail for Driving While License Revoked

July 18th Sheriff’s Police returned from Vermilion County Jail with Cortez Shields, 31 Danville wanted on an Iroquois County Warrant for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and remains in jail in lieu of bond

Accidents
July 18th Sheriff’s Police responded to a two vehicle accident in Middleport Township.  A vehicle driven by Megan G Suchor, 18 Sheldon was traveling southbound on Co Rd 2500 E approaching the intersection at Co Rd 1830 N and according to the report a second vehicle driven by Jeffrey W. Ritter, 51 Iroquois had turned on to 2500 E from Co Rd 1830 N going Northbound, an intersection with no traffic control signs and standing corn blocked the drivers view of each other.  Both drivers hugged the outer edge of their lane, due to narrow paved portion of the roadway, Suchor’s vehicle began to skid out of control and left the roadway at the intersections south west corner, struck a road sign as well as a utility pole.  Damage to Suchor’s vehicle was estimated over $1,500 and Ritter’s vehicle sustained no damage.  neither driver was injured and no citiations were issued
