Questions Raised Regarding Possible Closure of the Ford-Iroquois County Public Health Department

Rumors that the Ford-Iroquois County Public Health Department may be closed down has generated a barrage of questions from the health department employees, their clients and taxpayers.

In light of the concerns, the Board of health has called a special meeting that will be held at the Gilman-Danforth District Library at 715 North Maple street in Gilman, IL 60938 at 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013. the purpose of the special meeting is to allow taxpayers to make comments followed by a called vote of the board of health on the Indiana home health issue.

Representative josh harms along with Dr. Florido from Kentland, Indiana, Doug Corbet, public health administrator and Rick Bowen, Ford County board Chairman will be in attendance along with the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department Board of Health members. The public, media and employees are invited to attend.
