Rankin woman delivers first baby of new year
Jordan Thornton, of Rankin, welcomes her daughter, Kalee Ann Louise Stone, as the first baby of the year born at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka. Also pictured are Chuck Bohlmann, IMH CEO and Chris Curry, COO.

Kalee Ann Louise Stone arrived on January 4 at 12:49 a.m. She weighed in at 7 lbs 6oz and was 20 inches. She was delivered by Dr. Philip Zumwalt. Kalee’s mother is Jordan Thornton of Rankin. Maternal grandparents are Tim Burke and Heidi Snyder both of Rankin and maternal great grandparents are Sharon and Butch Moore of Hoopeston.

On behalf of Iroquois Memorial Hospital administration Chuck Bohlmann, CEO and Chris Curry COO presented mom and baby with a cart full of gifts including a colorful bouquet of fresh flowers with balloons, an assortment of baby items from the Auxiliary’s Gift Shop and an assortment of gifts for mom including a handbag, travel mug and flameless aroma therapy candles.
