DANVILLE — A man accused of robbing the Oakwood adult book store earlier this year was sentenced Monday to prison.

Joel Frazier, 28, of Danville, appeared in Vermilion County Circuit Court on Monday on three separate cases. He was sentenced to a total of 13 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Frazier received 10 years for the armed robbery, which was amended to aggravated robbery.

The adult book store was robbed on Jan. 19 and Frazier was arrested in connection with that case on Feb. 4 by the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department.

In addition, Frazier was sentenced to three years in state prison in a 2013 case in which he pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse for an incident last year.

The prison sentences will be served consecutively. Charges in a third case were dropped as part of the agreement.
