Frances Mae Pettice, 94, of Potomac
Frances Mae Pettice, 94, of Potomac, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Heritage Health in Hoopeston.
Frances was born on July 30, 1919, in Posey, Indiana, the daughter of Emery and Cora Rumble. She married James Daniel Pettice on November 6, 1939. He preceded her in death on August 22, 1985.
She is survived by one son- Steve (Marilyn) Pettice of Potomac; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister- Elizabeth Whitman of Rossville; two half-sisters- Lois Dickerson of Alvin and Mae Herron of Potomac; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons- Mike and Dave Pettice, grandson-Michael Allan Pettice and he brothers and sisters.
Frances attended the Rossville Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, doing yard work and spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Frances’ Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials may be made to the family. The family has entrusted the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Chapel to assist them in honoring Mrs. Pettice’s life.
