Congratulations to the Hoopeston Area 7th grade boys basketball team who beat Gibson City last night 24 -22 to win their Regional championship game. The Cornjerkers advance to Sectional play in Tuscola next Wednesday to take on Tolono.
High School girls basketball….
Samantha Wilken had eight points seven rebounds and four steals as the Milford Lady Bearcats won on Senior Night 28 – 22 against the Bismarck-Henning Blue Devils.

Westville held on to beat Oakwood 33 – 30
Salt Fork got by Chrisman 37 – 35
Georgetown-Ridge Farm beat Armstrong-Potomac 38 – 19

Watseka beat PBL 55 - 29. Devin Curry had 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the Warriors.
Iroquois West girls lost to SJ-O 41 – 27
St. Thomas Moore 86 – Clifton Central 30
Prairie Central 55 – Rantoul 44
Buckley Christ Luthern lost to Decatur Lutheran 55 – 25
Jacob Varns (195) and Justin Kindle (285) each had pinfall wins as the Cornjerkers defeated the Danville Vikings 35 – 32 on Senior Night.
Gage Foster (132) won by tech fall for Hoopeston Area while Devin Cartwright (106), Isaiah Bell (120) and Trenton Lanter (182) won by forfeit.
