on Saturday:

#1 Duke beat Maryland 84 – 64

Villanova upset #3 Syracuse 75 – 71

Georgetown got by #5 Louisville 53 – 51

Iowa State beat Kansas State 73 – 67

in the Big Ten:

Wisconsin got by #12 Minnesota 45 – 44

#14 Ohio State beat Penn State 65 – 51

Sunday:

#17 Creighton was all over SIU, beating the Salukis 81 - 51

Indiana beat Michigan State 75 – 70

and Illinois lost to the #2 Michigan Wolverines 74 – 60.
Brandon Paul had 15 points for the Illini.

NBA…

yesterday:

Boston got by the Miami Heat 100 – 98 in double overtime.   
But the Celtics learned starting guard Rajon Rondo is out for the season with a torn right ACL.

The Lakers beat Oklahoma City 105 – 96

Dallas 110 – Phoenix 95

New York over Atlanta 106 – 104

New Orleans beat Memphis 91 – 83

Detroit 104 – Orlando 102

LA Clippers beat Portland 96 - 83

NFL….

The NFC pounded the AFC 62 – 35 in what could be the last Pro Bowl.    Minnesota tight end Kyle Rudolph was voted the game’s MVP with 122 yards and a touchdown.

NHL…

The Chicago Blackhawks are 6 – 0 and off to their best start in franchise history after beating the Detroit Red Wings last night in Overtime,  2 – 1.

PGA…

Tiger Woods holds a six-shot lead with 11 suspended holes to play in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in California.  The 3rd round was cancelled Saturday because of fog and darkness ended play on Sunday.  A win today would be Woods’ 75th win of his PGA career.
