#11 Oklahoma surprised #3 Alabama, winning the Sugar Bowl last night 45 - 31


NFL….

QB Jay Cutler, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, signed a seven-year contract with the Chicago Bears Thursday.
Cutler’s deal is expected to net him about $18 million/year. It also includes at least $50 million in guaranteed money.  Also Thursday, the Bears re-signed cornerback Tim Jennings and guard Matt Slauson to four-year deals.


NBA…

Joakim Noah had 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists to help the Chicago Bulls beat the Boston Celtics 94-82 on Thursday night.

Golden State outshot the Miami Heat 123 – 114

The lowly Brooklyn Nets surprised Oklahoma City 95 – 93

The Knicks upset the Spurs 105 – 101

Cleveland beat Orlando 87 – 81 in OT

Portland beat up on Charlotte 134 – 104
