HS Girls Basketball…

Bismarck-Henning beat Westville 40-33 behind Brooke Walsh’s 18 points.  Addie Voyles added 11, including 2 key 3-points during a 10-4 3rd quarter run.

Schlarman beat Georgetown-Ridge Farm 64 - 49

College Basketball….

#1 Arizona got by UCLA 79 - 75

#24 Memphis upset #12 Louisville 73 – 67

Big Ten:

Nebraska beat Michigan 51 – 48

#20 Iowa had no trouble with Northwestern 93 - 67


Knicks beat the Heat 102 – 92

OKC lost to Denver 101 - 88


U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley is moving from the Italian club Roma to Major League Soccer and Toronto FC.  This move comes less than six months after MLS landed another top American player with Clint Dempsey moving from Tottenham to the Seattle Sounders


Chicago Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery the Detroit Lions Calvin Johnson in the Pro Bowl Jan. 26.  Johnson is scheduled to have right knee surgery.

The Washington Redkins hired Bengals Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden as their new Head Coach. 

College Football…

Bobby Petrino is returning as Head Coach of Louisville.  He was 41-9 with the Cardinals from 2003 to 2006 and succeeds Charlie Strong, who left after four seasons to accept the Texas job.  Petrino is 83-30 as a college coach. His record includes a 34-17 mark at Arkansas, a tenure that ended amid scandal in April 2012.
