The Miami Heat became only the 4th team in NBA history to win at least 20 straight games, as they got by the 76ers last night in Philadelphia 98 – 94.
Sacramento stomped the Bulls 121 - 79
other NBA winners last night: Washington, Indiana, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, OKC, Memphis, Golden State, Denver
The Colts signed free agent Pro Bowl Safety LaRon Landry from the NY Jets. The deal comes a day after Indy had 4 other defensive free agent signings.

#24 Notre Dame beat Rutgers 69 – 61
#19 Syracuse beat Seton Hall 75 – 63
also Cincinnati beat Providence
and Villanova got by St. Johns
Hoopeston Area’s Shelby Holzinger, Bismarck-Henning’s Brooke Walsh, and Armstrong-Potomac’s Erick Sierberns and Morgan Zindars who we all named to the Commercial-News All-County First Team and to the Vermilion Valley all-conference 1st Team.
In Boys Basketball….HA junior Mason Layden was a 1st team all-conference selection.
And Congratulations to HA wrestlers Dylan Pate and Gage Foster who were selected 1st Team all Conference and All County.

The field of 16 teams for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men Basketball tournament has been set. Play begins at Danville Area Community College March 19 and runs through March 23, 2013.
A tournament pass, which is good for all games, is available for
$35.00. Tickets are $6.00 each session/morning, afternoon or evening. Tickets for DACC students and senior citizens are $3.00 and children 6 and under are free for all games.
