Iryana K. Vaughn, 2 years old, unknown description or clothing. child was last seen in Upper FLat, Racine, WI. Law Enforcement officials believe this child may be in the company of Iryin K. Vaughn, the childs father. Iryin Vaughn is wanted in questioning of the homicide of the childs mother in the city of Racine, WI. They should be traveling in a 1998 Blue Ford Explorer with IL plates I320893. The Gilman Police Department and the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information regarding a series of incidents that have occured in the City of Gilman during the past week. In those incidents, numerous vehicles were entered and items taken. In addition, area businesses, a residence and a vehicle have been spray painted. On Feburary 7, at 6:50 P.M. the Hoopeston Police Department took a report concerning the theft of an air bag from a parked vehicle at Urich Motors.

John Duncan was appointed to the Rankin Village Board las tweel, filling a vacancey created three months earlier by the resignation of Paul Blakey.
The village of Rankin could become the first municipality in Vermilion County to ban commercial wind turbines immediately outside its boundaries.
- On Feburary 6, Iroquois County Sherriff’s Police arrested Freddie D. Flowers, age 27, of Danville. Flowers was charged with no Valid Driver’s License and Speeding Over the Statutory Limit. Flowers was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he later posted bond and was released.
The Rankin Fire Protection Districts 17th Annual Fireman’s Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will take placve this Saturday, Feburary 11 from 6:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. at the Rankin Lions Club. -On Feburary 4 at 1:40 A.M. a 27 year old Hoopeston woman advised officers that Thomas L. Dalton had assaulted her. The Officers located Dalton in the 500 block of West. Penn at approximatly 3:10 A.M. and took him into custody on the Domestic Battery charge. Since Dalton is on parole through the Illinois Department of Corrections, the state also issued a warrant for his arrest for violation of his parole.. The subject was later transported to the PSB in Danville.
