Voter Registration Drive for Milford Area Public Schools District #124

A Voter Registration Drive for Milford Area Public Schools District #124 will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Milford Family Restaurant Meeting Room and Sheldon Town Hall.  Please bring two forms of identification with at least one showing your physical address.  For example, driver’s license, credit card bill or utility bill.  Deadline to register to vote is March 10th.  You can also register to vote st the Iroquois County Clerk’s office or call 815.432.6960 for more information.

Hoopeston FFA hosting informational meeting to start Alumni Chapter

If you are interested in supporting the Hoopeston FFA please join us on Wed March 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the HAHS auditorium for an informational meeting in regards to starting a FFA Alumni Chapter.  Representatives from the Illinois FFA Alumni Counsel will be there to provide information and answer questions.  You do not have to be a former FFA member to attend or get involved, but please come show support for the Hoopeston FFA in starting this new Alumni Chapter on Wed. March 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the HAHS Auditorium

New Buffet to open in Danville

According to the Commercial News, A new buffet is coming to the city’s north side.
Royal Buffet will open soon in the former No. 1 Hibachi and Grill Buffet location, 4117 N. Vermilion St.
No. 1 Hibachi and Grill Buffet has been closed almost a month. New owners have come in, changed the restaurant to a Royal Buffet and received a certificate of occupancy from the city last week, according to Mayor Scott Eisenhauer.
An opening date isn’t yet known.
No. 1 Hibachi and Grill Buffet opened in 2010, where Ryan’s Family Steakhouse once operated.
The restaurant had a Chinese and Japanese buffet, which included sushi and hibachi grilling.
Royal Buffets elsewhere have offered Asian and American food, such as Mongolian barbecue, sushi, chicken, seafood, pizza, soups, fruit and salad.
