According to the Commercial News, With the holiday season edging closer, people are starting to think about special events — the 2015 Festival of Trees especially Presence United Samaritans Medical Center Foundation’s 2015 Festival of Trees.
With the theme “Miracles on Main Street,” the festival will be held Nov. 14-18 at the David S. Palmer Arena.
Special event tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the arena. Tickets may be purchased in person at the box office, online at www.presencehealth.org/festivaloftrees or by phone at (877) 77C-LICK (2-5425). Ticket prices vary for each special event.
Favorite special events returning from last year include the Children’s Holiday Breakfast on Nov. 14, the Ladies’ Luncheon on Nov. 18, the Princess Tea Party on Nov. 14, the Pirate’s Adventure Lunch on Nov. 15 and the Crystal Ball on Nov. 17. New this year is the ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Family Pajama Party on Nov. 14.
Other events are the Polar Express and walk through the North Pole, Nov. 16; family bingo night, Nov. 16; Vintage Roadshow, Nov. 17; and Adults Only Bingo on Nov. 17.
The festival will feature more than 100 decorated trees and 12 special events. The festival also partners with Downtown Danville for the Nights of Lights parade on Nov. 14.
