According to the Paxton Record, Two months after stepping aside as chairman of the Ford County Board, Rick Bowen made his intentions known Monday that he would be resigning from the board entirely in March.
“I’ve enjoyed working with all of you,” the 48-year-old Elliott resident told board members before handing his letter of resignation to Chairman Randy Berger. “I think I’ll miss it — maybe not the first couple months, but after I decompress and relax a little bit I’ll probably miss it.”
Bowen’s resignation from the board, effective following the March 8 meeting, comes just two months after he gave up the chairmanship to Berger — a position Bowen held for six years.
Also in December, Bowen was sworn in to another four-year term on the board.
