HOOPESTON JAYCEES’ ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

The Hoopeston Jaycees are proud to once again host a free Easter egg hunt for area children. This year’s hunt
will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jaycee Shelter in McFerren Park. Three age
categories used are as follows: 0-4 years, 5-8 years, and 9-10 years. Candy and a few special surprises will be
hiding in the eggs, and the Easter bunny will make an appearance. See you then!

Woman killed at truck stop in Vermilion County

Ms. Coffman, a Villa Grove native and Homer resident, was fatally shot by her husband, Douglas F. Price, 69, of Urbana, outside the Pilot Travel Center north of Oakwood along Interstate 74, according to the Vermilion County Sheriff’s department. Price and Ms. Coffman had recently separated and filed for divorce, according to the sheriff’s department, which on Thursday released a brief timeline of what led to the tragedy.

Work to Resume on I-74 in Vermilion County

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that work will resume Monday, March 14 on Interstate 74 from Illinois Route 49 to U.S. 150 near Danville (MM 200-215).
