Hoopeston City Council receive water update

The Hoopeston City Council met on Monday, November 3rd and learned in the meeting from Mike Streff, of Farnsworth Group, that a second sand filter is now online, helping clean Hoopeston water, while a third is set to be updated and returned to service.

For the first time, Illinois voters can register to vote on Election Day, however, not all polling places offer this option according to Jim Tenuto with the State Board of Elections.

October was wetter than normal in Illinois

According to State Climatologist, Jim Angel the statewide average rainfall for October was 4.5 inches.  That’s 1.2 inches above the average.  He said some areas received a lot more rain than others in Illinois.
