Hisotric Farm Days will Feature Old Trucks 1st Time

The Historic Farm Days show will be held in Penfield on the grounds of I & I Antique Tractor and Small Engine Club Thursday, July 11th thru Sunday, July 14th and according to John Frederickson, President of the club the show will feature old trucks and cars used by farmers back in the day when times were a lot tougher.  Also, featured at the show will be Massey Harris, Massey Ferguson, New Holland and Caterpillar equipment lines.  Go to whporadio.com click on Fairs/Festivals for a list of Daily Events at the show.

Hoopeston Fire Department Praised by Hoopeston City Council

HOOPESTON — City council members and the mayor praised the Hoopeston Fire Department, the fire departments that aided Hoopeston, all the Hoopeston city departments and IEMA who worked for three days straight to prevent a major fire from spreading farther and to protect city residents.

Old Fashioned Family Night of Fun

Join the Chamber of Commerce tonight from 4:00-8:00pm at McFerren Park in Hoopeston for an Old Fashioned Family Night of Fun including entertainment by Taylor Wolfe at 6:00pm and Illusions by Randy a Magic Show at 7:00pm.  Five cent treats, bounce houses, gunny sack races, duck pond, cornhole toss, dunk tank, face painting and a down and dirty tog o’ war to name a few activities.  The first 200 people to bring a non-perishable food item to the Miniature Golf Course for the food pantry can receive a free grame!
