$850,000 Investment Will Create Jobs and Ensure Facility Stays Competitive for Years to Come
DANVILLE – Governor Pat Quinn today announced an $850,000 capital investment to modernize and expand the David S. Palmer Arena in Danville. Today’s action is part of Governor Quinn’s agenda to create jobs and drive Illinois’ economy forward.

HOOPESTON — Residents can expect some detours on East Main Street this week due to scheduled road work for the summer.
Alderman Randy Carter said the road crews will begin milling the street today between the railroad tracks on East Main Street and Market Street, with the asphalt expected to be laid on Friday. However, if there is a delay with the asphalt until Monday, Carter added, there would still be some traffic on East Main during the weekend.
A Claytonville man was arrested early Tuesday evening after Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG) agents found cannabis plants growing at his residence.
