Update on the flooding situation in Iroquois County.

Iroquois County has and will continue to experience flooding conditions in the coming days. The soil is still saturated and ditches and small creeks are still at higher-than-average levels. The Iroquois River is now at moderate flood stage with a measurement of 24 feet, and is expected to start falling slowly tomorrow morning. Throughout the weekend there are continual chances for rain, especially Saturday night. If you have flooding in your home or on your road, report it to the non-emergency number at 815-432-4918. If you are trapped in your home, call 911. Do not attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. Now is the time to make preparations in case you need to leave your home.

Iroquois County officials are monitoring the flooding situation, and will issue a an evacuation through the media if it becomes necessary.

Meth lab bust nets two arrests

Two people were arrested Wednesday after Vermilion County drug agents and Indiana law enforcement discovered a methamphetamine lab in the garage of a residence near the Illinois-Indiana state line.
Vermilion Metropolitan Enforcement Group officers along with members of the Vermillion County, Ind., Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a home along County Road 1650N, west of State Route 63 and just across the state line.
