Early Voting in Vermilion County

Today, Monday, October 20th is the beginning of Early Voting in Vermilion County.  You can vote early at the Courthouse Annex, 2nd Floor in downtown Danville.  The hours are:  Monday, October 20th to Friday, October 24th:  8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Saturday, October 25th:  9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Noon).  Monday, October 27th to Friday, October 31st:  8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  Saturday, November 1st:  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Noon).  Sunday, November, 2nd from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until 3:00 p.m.

According to the News-Gazette, DANVILLE — After several weeks with no word, Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer announced in a short e-mail Wednesday that he had picked up nominating petitions that morning to run for a fourth-consecutive term in the April election.

Bowen wants to give up county board chair slot

According to the News-Gazette, Rick Bowen told the Ford County Board this week that he does not wish to continue serving as chairman after his current two-year term expires on Dec. 1.
