Illinois 81, Minnesota 71, 2OT

Illinois won over Minnesota, 81-72 in a double over time game. The Illini cruised to a 13-point lead early in the second half and looked to be headed to rare easy Big Ten win, but Minnesota had other plans for the Fighting Illini. The Gophers used 10-0 second half run -and 21 Illinois turnovers- to force overtime and then another before clutch playes by Brandon Paul and Meyers Leonard late to seal the deal.
