106th District Representative

The 106th Representative District Committee met on Sunday, July 27th in Paxton, Illinois for the purpose of selecting a replacement Representative Josh Harms on the November General Election ballot.  The committee, made of the Republican County Chairmen, or their surrogates, of the five counties that comprise the district.  The five are Ford, Iroquois, Vermilion, Livingston, and Woodford counties.

The committee unanimously selected Tom Bennett of Gibson City.  Bennett the Republican Chairman for Ford County.  Bennett, the chairman of the Parkland College Board of Trustees, is the IT Service Manager at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington.  The committee was honored to make the selection from a great group of applicants.  It was a difficult decision knowing that all the applicants would have served the district with distinction.
