Anthem Chevrolet Buick is teaming up with the Grant Township of Hoopeston to sponsor a food drive called, “Anthem Chevrolet’s Caring Kids of Grant Township”.
Angie Totheroh, Business Manager of Anthem Chevrolet Buick said, “We are aware of the need for food for those in this small community, and the number is increasing.”
The dealership will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Grant Township Food Cupboard during the drive.
Anthem Chevrolet Buick has asked the local grade schools in Hoopeston to participate in this food drive. This will be a friendly competition between John Greer, Honeywell, and Maple Grade Schools. “We are asking the kids to encourage their families and friends to donate to the food drive. We will put a Chevy Equinox in our showroom for each grade school, to see which one fills up the most.” Totheroh said.
She added, “We would like to teach school children about the need for charitable giving, as well as the importance of giving back to the community.”
The food drive will be held at the dealership from Monday, November 25th through Monday, December 16th. When you drop off your donation, please tell the employees of Anthem Chevrolet Buick which school you are representing. Totheroh also added, “There just might be a surprise in it for the school that drives the biggest collection.”
