Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 remind you of law change

A recent change in the law now requires older students to be vaccinated against pertussis, which is more commonly known as Whooping Cough.

Students advancing or transferring into the 6th to 12th grades must show proof of receiving one dose of the Tdap vaccine (this includes tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis).  Students are required to show proof of this vaccine for the 2013-14 school year.
We are working with the Carle Hoopeston Hospital and Charlotte Ann Russell Medical Center to offer this vaccine to our students.
The clinics are scheduled as follows at Charlotte Ann Russell Medical Center:
August 5th – 3 to 6 pm
August 6th – 8 am to noon
August 7th – 8:30 am to noon
You will need to schedule an appointment by calling 283-5644 and let them know you what to schedule a Tdap physical/shot. The cost is $15.
If you have any questions or concerns about the TdaP shot, you can contact the Vermilion County Health Dept. by calling 217-431-2662.
