Hoopeston Police Department Report

Traffic Accident - Steven C. Nelson, Rossville was north bound on Route 1 when Anna M Clouse, 89 Hoopeston was pulling out of Community Bank parking lot and turning north on Route 1 when she struck the rear drivers side of Nelson’s vehicle.  No injuries, both units insured.  Clouse was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident

Threatening a Public Official, Obstructing Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Police Officer - Police were called to the area of 300 block E Maple to remove Sawyer J Neal, 19 Hoopeston from a residence, when asked to leave Neal decided not to cooporate with officers and was taken to HPD to be processed.  While in custody, Neal made threats to the dispatcher on duty and was transported to the PSB for arraignment

Tampering with Food - Hoopeston area or Rossville area, Subject came into the HPD to report while going through his child’s candy he came across a candy bar with what appeared to be part of a razor blade inside wrapper.  Item was logged into evidence at PD

Domestic Battery, Interfering with the Reporting of Domestic Violence - officers responded to the 800 blk E Young after a 911 call.  Upon arrival officers witnessed a physical altercation b/t a 53 yr old Hoopeston woman and Gordon N Sheppard, 62 Hoopeston.  Sheppard was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Battery and transported to PSB for arraignment
