Hoopeston Police Department Weekend Report

Saturday, September 15th & Sunday September 16th

9-15-12 1:15pm Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Prohibited, Interfering with Police Prohibited
Officers were called to the 800 blk of E Seminary for a disturbance and Vicki L Ford, 54 Hoopeston kept interfering with their investigation by arguing with the other subjects at the scene.  After being told several times to be quet she was taken into custody and chraged with Interfering with Police and transported to HPD.  While in custody a search of contents of her purse revealed a pipe.  She was then charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued a notice to appear in Hoopeston City Court for each charge and was released

9-15-12 12:50pm Traffic Accident, DUI, Improoper Backing
HPD Officers were requested to the scene of an accident on 800 blk E Seminary and several people were arguing, upon arrival police calmed down the situation and investigated the accident.  Jacob D Wakeland, 21 Hoopeston was taken into custody for traffic accident, DUI and Improper Backing were he was processed and posted bond.  Wakeland was released with court date set for Danville

9-16-12 Domestic Battery/Battery
HPD Officers responded to the Blue Moon Saloon around 1:22am to a report of a fight in progress.  Jose L Torres, 39 Hoopeston was arrested and charged with domestic battery and trasnported to the HPD and later transported to the PSB in Danville

9-16-12 Driving While License Suspended, Disobeying Traffic Control Device
Alicia M Gonzalez, 22 Danville was observed driving and disobeying a traffic controlled device, the unit was stopped and driver was ticketed on above charges and the truck was placed in the hands of a licensed driver who was in the unit with her

9-16-12 Fire Call
HFD was dispatched to investigate a malfuncitioning fire alarm at 50 Parkview Court no injuries or report of fire
