DUI, DUI over .08 Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, disobeying Stop Sign - 01/19/2013 12:13AM - While on patrol, an officer noticed James Allen (27) of Hoopeston disobeying a stop sign. The officer preformed a traffic stop at Fifth St and Main and realized subject had possibly been consuming alcohol. Mr. Allen was arrested and transported to the police department. He was then processed and then transported to the PSB. He also received 4 traffic citations for the above charges.
Domestic Battery - 01/19/2013 2:26PM - Moises Torres (29) of Hoopeston was arrested when HPD was called out to the 200 block of North Market by a 34 year old Hoopeston female for a report of Domestic Violence. Mr. Torres was then taken to HPD where he was processed and then transported to the PSB in Danville for arraignment.
Warrant Arrest - 01/19/2013 8:20AM - Danelle M Carter (35) of Hoopeston at the 600 block of East Penn was taken into custody on an outstanding Vermilion County arrest warrant for Failure To Appear. She was later released after posting $375 bond.
Traffic Accident - 01/19/2013 9:07AM - A 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Christopher J Gregory of Rossville backed out of one of the wash bays at the Hoopeston Car Wash 113 E. Orange and backed into the vacuum island on the east side of the lot. The vacuum island and Gregory’s vehicle both sustained damage. No injuries reported, no citations were issued and Gregory’s vehicle was insured.
Warrant Arrest - 01/19/2013 9:30AM - Scott J Howe (28) of Hoopeston at the 200 block of west Lincoln was taken into custody on an outstanding Vermilion County arrest warrant for Failure To Appear and two Iroquois County arrest warrants. He was later transported to the PSB in Danville in lieu of bond.
Warrant Arrest - 01/19/2013 12:00PM - James L Cox (39) of Hoopeston turned himself in on an outstanding Vermilion County arrest warrant for Failure To Appear. He was later released after posting $175 cash bond.
Disorderly Conduct Breach of Peace - 01/19/2013 2:51PM - John A Burkert (31) of Hoopeston was arrested at the John Greer School for a complaint filed by a 49 year old Hoopeston woman after she noticed Burkert looking at pornography on his phone while at a school sporting event earlier the same day. He was issued a NTA in Hoopeston city court.
Residential Burglary - 01/19/2013 3:29PM - A 24 year old Hoopeston woman at Parkview court made a report that someone removed her laptop from her residence without her permission.

Theft - 01/20/2013 12:45PM - A 26 year old Hoopeston man at the 500 block of West Lincoln advised unknown person(s) removed a razor scooter and fishing poles from his garage without his permission.
