- John Paul Smith, 47, of Indianapolis, was arrested on Feburary 19, at 4:04 P.M. for an outstanding Effingham County Warrant for faliure to appear for a DUI. He was trabsported to the Public Saftey Building in Danville, IL to bond on warrant.
- The Hoopeston Fire Department was dipatched on Feburary 19, at 7:02 P.M. in the 800 block of East Elm for visable smoke in the upstairs of a residence. The smoke was cleared and there were no injuries reported.
- Darren Wood, 27, of Hoopeston, was arrested at 1:58 A.M. Friday in the 500 block of West Penn. He was charged with possesion of a controlled substance and was taken to the Public Saftey Building in Danville.
- Kareem J. Marshall, 31, of Danville, was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device after an accident at 6:56 A.M. Friday was West Penn and First Avenue. Police said Marshall, in a 2011 Toyota, was northbound, stoped at the intersection, then entered the intersection, not seeing a 2004 Ford truck driven by Bruce Leemon, of Hoopeston. No injuries were reported.
