News Release for Tuesday, January 8th, 2013
On January 4th, 2013 Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police arrested Brenden N Noel age 20, of Danforth. Noel was arrested for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Abuse. Noel was transported to Iroquois County Jail where he later posted the required bond and was released.
On January 5th, 2013 Brandon S Bennett age 33, of Onarga turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail. Bennet was wanted for Driving While License was Revoked. Bennet was sentenced to weekends in Iroquois Jail.
On January 6th, 2013 Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police arrested Daniel C Outlaw age 18, of Onarga. Outlaw was arrested for Aggravated battery. Outlaw was transported and remains in the Iroquois County Jail in Lieu of Bond.
On January 5th, 2013 Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police investigated a single vehicle Hit and Run accident at the intersection of 100 N and 100 E Co. Rd. According to Police report an unknown vehicle believed to possibly be a Pickup truck slid off the roadway immediately before the intersection and entered the road ditch. This vehicle struck a utility pole owned by Ameren damaging the pole and causing a power outage for customers in that area for several hours.
On January 7th, 2013 Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police investigated a single vehicle accident on 2400 n Co. Rd. near Route 1. According to Police report Ray Anderson age 48, of Watseka was traveling East bound on Co. Rd. 2400 N. approximately 1/4 of a mile East of Route 1. when his vehicle entered a field and over turned coming to rest on it’s top. Anderson was transported to Riverside Hospital. Anderson’s vehicle sustained more than $1500 in damage and no citations were issued.
