Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police Report

9-8-12 Sheriff’s Police returned from Kankakee County Jail with Garrick M. McKinney 22, Chicago - he was wanted on an Iroquois County Warrant for Criminal Damage to Property greater than $300 he remains in jail in lieu of bond

9-8-12 Sheriff’s Police investigated a single vehicle accident on 2400 E R at 200 N Rd, Dustin P. Weber, 36 Rankin was traveling southbound on 2400 E when the passenger tires left the roadway to the west Weber was unable to steer the vehicle back on the the roadway and struck a culvert head on at 200 E the vehicle rolled over and came to a rest on its roof.  Weber fled the scene and was later located and cited for Leaving the Scene of an accident with vehicle damage, Failure to Reduce Speed to avoid an accident and operation of uninsured motor vehicle.  No injuries were reported and damages were estimated at more than $1500

9-9-12 Sheriff’s police investigated a single vehicle accident at intersection 1200 N and 1800 E Dustin R. Martell, 20 Beaverville, was traveling Eastbound on 1200 N when he attempted to make a right hand turn and was traveling to fast brakes were applied which caused the vehicle to slide sideways into east ditch and overturned.  Martell and his passenger were transported to IMH by Milford EMS for treatment of minor injuries.  Damages were estimated at more than $1500 and Martell was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident
