Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police Report

July 30, 2014

7/25 Juan A. Aldana, 32 Onarga turned himself in to the Iroquois County Jail.  He was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance with in 1000’ of a school.  Aldana remains at the Iroquois County Jail in lieu of bond

7/27 Tash L. Laird, 21 Watseka turned herself in to the Iroquois County Jail.  She was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for Failure to Appear on a failure to yield right of way citation.  Laird posted the required bond and was releaesd

7/28 Sheriff’s Police arrested Timothy J. Deaton, 32 Milford.  He was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant for failure to appear for driving while license was suspended.  Deaton was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he was later released on a personal recognizance bond

7/29 Sheriff’s Police arrested Brian Floriant, 39 Watseka.  He was arrested for driving while his license was revoked.  He was also cited for speeding and illegal transportation by a driver.  Floriant was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he later posted the required bond and was released

Accidents
7/21 Sheriff’s Police investigated a two vehicle accident in Onarga.  According to the report, Matthew Hernandez, 26 Onarga was traveling South on South Poplar when an animal ran in front of his vehicle and he stopped to avoid striking the animal and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Andres Garcia, 25 also of Onarga.  No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.  Damages to the vehicles were reported to be over $1500

7/21 Sheriff’s Police investigated a two vehicle accident on Rt 49 near 500 North Rd.  According to the report, Trevor J. Hurt, 17 of Cissna Park was traveling South on Rt. 49 and as he yielded to oncoming traffic before making a left handed turn onto 500 N Rd he was struck from behind by a motorcycle driven by Joseph P. Manzo, 72 of Gilman.  No injuries were reported.  Manzo was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  Damages to vehicles were reported to be over $1500
