A Claytonville man was arrested early Tuesday evening after Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG) agents found cannabis plants growing at his residence.
Samuel Vires III, 47 was charged with production of cannabis plants, a Class 3 Felony, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. KAMEG agents, assisted by the Illinois State Police, went to Vires’ residence and observed 44 plants growing in his garden. During a search, officers also recovered a small amount of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Vires was transported to the Iroquois County Jail.
