Rehab center to occupy site

Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, a provider of outpatient physical therapy, announces the opening of a new rehabilitation center in Danville.

The Danville center will be located at 2 E. Main St., Ste. 102, the former Blockbuster video store site in downtown’s Towne Centre. It will offer a large and first-class exercise setting equipped with innovative treatment technology, according to a press release from Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers.

Blockbuster is now closed. Employees have been removing items from the building.

Rhonda Kaplan-Katz, an attorney representing Towne Centre owners Danville Towne Centre LLC, verified Blockbuster’s lease finishes on Jan. 31.

Accelerated’s patients receive one-on-one care, including individualized manual therapy in a comfortable environment, according to the press release. Accelerated plans on accepting patients in early April.

Accelerated is the largest physical therapist owned and managed practice in the United States, according to company information. Chicago-based Accelerated offers 12 locations throughout Central Illinois.

The continued growth of Accelerated reflects its commitment to providing the highest level of health care by utilizing industry leading physical therapists, cutting edge techniques and top-quality facilities, according to the press release.

Kim Rosenlund, a marketing services representative with Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, said the center’s staff still is being finalized.
