DANVILLE — The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department has made two arrests in connection with an October home invasion.
Dustin Brockett, 27, and K’La Brockett, 21, both of Danville, were arrested Wednesday by sheriff’s investigators on charges of home invasion and robbery.
Sgt. Bill Hurt said following several leads in the case lead to the arrest of the Brocketts as well as the identification of additional suspects in the case. Hurt said additional arrests are expected in connection with the crime.
Hurt said the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group assisted the sheriff’s department in its investigation. Dustin Brockett also was booked on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon Wednesday in connection with a VMEG case.
Bond was not immediately set for either Brockett as of Thursday morning.
The sheriff’s department responded to a report of a home invasion at a rural address north of Danville around 12:47 a.m. Oct. 30.
