Joakim Noah had 18 points and 10 rebounds and eight assists, Mike Dunleavy scored 22 points as the Chicago Bulls pulled away late for a 108-95 victory over the Orlando Magic Monday night. With one game left in the regular season, the Bulls are fourth in the Eastern Conference playoff race and looking at a first-round matchup with Brooklyn. To catch Toronto and finish third, the Bulls would need to win the season finale at Charlotte on Wednesday and have the Raptors lose at New York
The Indiana Pacers earned the top seed in the Eastern Confernece playoffs after the Miami Heat rested Lebron James and Chris Bosh and lost to the Wizards 114-93.
Joe Dumars stepped down as Detroit’s president of basketball operations Monday, a day after the Pistons lost their home finale and fell to 29-52 with one game remaining in the season. Detroit will miss the postseason for a fifth consecutive year.
