Here’s your WHPO Sports Update….

Cubs routed the Cardinals 17-5
White Sox lost to the A’s 5-4

Labron James poured in 49 points as the Heat beat the Nets 102-96 to take a 3-1 Eastern Conference semi-final series lead
Trailblazers beat the Spurs 103 – 92.  San Antonio still leads that series 3-1

Blackhawks take on the Wild tonight – with a win Chicago can clinch a spot in the Western Conference Finals. 
U.S. men’s coach Jurgen Klinsmann released the names of a 30-man squad for the World Cup with few surprises on Monday, including, as expected, Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley.
Eddie Johnson was the biggest name veteran left off the 30-man list. The 2006 World Cup player co-led the team in appearances last year and scored five goals, including the game-winner in the clincher vs. Mexico on Sept. 10.

The final 23-man World Cup roster must be submitted to FIFA by June 2.  The USA opens the World Cup in Brazil against Ghana on June 16

Bismarck-Henning blanked Oakwood 13 – 0
Hoopeston Area lost to Salt Fork last night.  They host Bismarck-Henning tonight
Seeger beat South Newton 5 – 0.  Freshman Madison Cooksey tossed a no-hitter for the Patriots
