Here’s your WHPO Sports Update….

Corey Crawford made 25 saves, Jonathan Toews had a big goal in the third period and the Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 in Game 1 of the Western Conference final.

Paul George finished with 24 points and seven assists, David West added 19 points and seven rebounds, and Indiana led wire-to-wire in a 107-96 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Cubs beat the Brewers 4-2
Cardinals lost to the Braves 5-4
White Sox lost to the Astros 8 – 2 as rookie first baseman Jose Abreu, the major league leader in home runs, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with tendinitis in his left ankle.

Saturday…. recent grad Kendall Walder struck out 16 while going 2-3 with 2 RBIs from the plate. Bryce Leigh added 2 hits and 2 RBIs as Hoopeston Area beat Schlarman
Cissna Park beat Georgetown-RF-Chrisman 4-2
Westville beat Bismarck-Henning 13-2

Hoopeston Area dropped both games of a double header with Georgetown-RF-Chrisman 9-7 and 11-1
