HS Boys Basketball…

Hoopeston Area beat Westville last night 50 – 33.  The Cornjerkers are 10-2 in VVC play, tied for first, with their final game of the season Friday at Milford.

Milford beat Schlarman 67 – 45

Geo-RF got by A-P 42 – 41

College Basketball…

#1 Syracuse was handed their first loss of the season – as they were upset by unranked Boston College 62 – 59

Big Ten:

Illinois got back on track – beating Minnesota 62 – 49

#24 Ohio State beat Northwestern 76 – 60


Bulls held on to beat Toronto 94 – 92.


The Miami Dolphins fired offensive line coach Jim Turner and longtime head athletic trainer Kevin O’Neill on Wednesday for their roles in the team’s bullying scandal. 


The US has taken the lead in the overall medal count with 23 overall, including 7 gold through yesterday.
