Arkansas upset #2 Florida 80 – 69

#8 Miami beat Boston College 72 – 50

#13 Kansas State beat Texas Tech 68 – 59

NBA…

Houston was all over Golden State, 140 – 109

Phoenix beat Memphis

The Pacers got by Atlanta

The Lakers beat the Nets

Denver beat Milwaukee


MLB…

The Cardinal’s Chris Carpenter will likely retire after the team announced he would not pitch in 2013 after a recurrence of a nerve injury that cost him most of last season.


NHL…

Chicago Blackhawks beat the San Jose Sharks 5 -3.  Patrick Kane had 2 goals, Jonathan Toews had 2 assists for the Hawks.

Girls Regionals:

Hoopeston Area Lady Cornjerkers season ended last night as they lost to Beecher 65 – 50.  Shelby Holzinger had 13, Haley Dixon 11 for Hoopeston Area.

Watseka beat Clifton-Central 70 – 12. 

Bismarck-Henning lost to St. Joe 45 – 33

Georgetown-RF beat Westville 50 – 46

Armstrong-Potomac handled Salt Fork 50 – 27.  Ericka Sieberns had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Trojans.

 

Boys:

Milford lost to Westville 55 – 39.  Jake Rogers lead the Bearcats with 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Jeff Cann chipped in 12. 

Salt Fork beat Geo-RF 61 – 51

Schlarman Academy 59 – Armstrong-Potomac 30

Bismarck-Henning beat Hoopeston Area 65 – 52.  Austin Toler lead the Blue Devils with 24 points.  Mason Layden paced the Cornjerkers with 17, Brennan Crose added 16.
