5 Christmas Day games in the NBA….
LeBron James had 29 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, Dewayne Wade scored 21, and the Miami Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-97 in a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals. Kevin Durant poured in 33 for the Thunder in a game that saw 5 technical fouls and the Heat going 19-19 from the free throw line.
also… James Harden scored 26 points, and Jeremy Lin added 20 points and 11 assists to lead the Houston Rockets to a 120-97 win over the Chicago Bulls
Lakers beat the Knicks 100 – 94
Boston 93 – Brooklyn 76
LA Clippers won their 14th game in the a row, beating Denver 112 -100


Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano (“pa-GA-no”) returned to work Monday, after taking leave from the team Oct. 1 to battle leukemia.  The Colts are 10-5…9-4 during Pagano’s absence…and have earned a playoff spot after losing 14 games last season.


#3 Arizona remains undefeated after being #17 San Diego State yesterday 68-67.

Duke and Michigan remain the top two teams in The Associated Press’ college men’s basketball poll, while Syracuse drops from third to ninth after its first loss.
Arizona, Louisville and Indiana all moved up one place to third through fifth. Kansas, which won at Ohio State, moved from ninth to sixth. Missouri, which beat Illinois, jumped from 12th to seventh. Cincinnati advanced from 11th to eighth. Syracuse, which lost to Temple, and Ohio State complete the top 10. 
The Fighting Illini dropped to 12th in the AP poll….15th in the coaches’ poll.
