Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is expected to undergo surgery this week on his injured right knee. Griffin’s tore his lateral collateral ligament during Sunday’s playoff loss against the Seahawks.
Griffin also likely tore at least part of his ACL, but it’s unknown how severe it is. Griffin suffered a similar injury at Baylor in 2009 that required two screws and a rubber band to hold it together.
The Dallas Cowboys fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan on Tuesday.
And the Chicago Bears added former linebacker and SF head coach Mike Singletary to their growing list of head coaching candidates they are interviewing to replace Lovie Smith.
