The near-season long lock-out of players has ended as the League and the NHL Players Association announced early Sunday morning that a tentative agreement has been reached. The lockout lasted 113 days and cancelled 510 games. A likely 48-game season will begin Jan. 19

Heisman winner Jonny Manziel led Texas A&M in a rout of Oklahoma, winning 41-13 in the Cotton Bowl. Manziel had 516 total yards in the game.

and the big Bowl game is tonight at 7:00 – as #1 Notre Dame takes on #2 Alabama in the Discover BCS Championship Game…

on Saturday…the 11th-ranked Fighting Illini had a 74-55 blowout win over No. 8 Ohio State. Brandon Paul led Illinois with 19 points and had seven rebounds. 6-foot-11 sophomore center Nnanna Egwu scored a career-high 16 points
