the NFL season kicked off last night in Denver…as the Broncos hosted the Super Bowl Champ Baltimore Ravens.  Peyton Manning threw 7 TD passes as Denver beat Baltimore 49-27.


Cardinals lost to the Reds 6 – 2

White Sox lost to the Orioles 3 – 1

Cubs had the day off – the host the Brewers today

Danville beat Bismarck-Henning 2 sets to 1. 

Armstrong-Potomac beat Shiloh 2 sets to 1

and Milford beat St. Anne 2 sets to 1


Hoopeston Area beat Bismarck-Henning 5-0 in VVC action yesterday.  Brennan Crose and Elijah Yates each had 2 goals for the Cornjerkers.  Mason Jett had a goal while Chase Bouse had 2 assists.  Freshman Trey Layden recorded the clean sheet as Keeper to help HA move to 1-0 in the VVC, 3-1 overall.
