Here’s Your WHPO Sports Report….

Jay Cutler passed to Brandon Marshall for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, helping the Bears rally for a 24-21 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday and giving Marc Trestman a victory in his first game as an NFL head coach.  Cutler threw for 242 yards, Marshall had eight catches for 104 yards, and Charles Tillman had 2 interceptions.

Andrew Luck threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns, and he scored on a 19-yard TD run with 5:20 to play to beat Oakland 21-17.
other NFL winners include: San Francisco, St. Louis, KC, Seattle, Tennessee, NY Jets, New Orleans, Detroit, Miami, New England, and Dallas


Brewers beat the Cubs 3 – 1

Cardinals beat the Pirates 9 – 2.  Pittsburg now trails St. Louis by 1.5 games in the NL Central.

White Sox beat the Orioles 4 – 2

College Football…

Illinois surprised Cincinnati with a 45 – 17 win on Saturday.

Alabama is still No. 1 in the AP poll after a bye week.  They head into a much-anticipated rematch with No. 6 Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel on Saturday.
Oregon is No. 2. Clemson moved up a spot to No. 3 and Ohio State slipped one to No. 4. Stanford remains No. 5.
