Kansas City 23 – Cleveland 17.  The Chiefs are 8-0

New England beat Miami 27 – 17

New Orleans 35 – Buffalo 17

Giants beat the Eagles 15 – 7 as Michael Vick went down with an injury

Niners all over the Jaguars 42 – 10 in London

Bengals beat up on the Jets 49 – 9

Oakland 21 – Pittsburg 18

Denver 45 – Washington 21

Arizona beat Atlanta 27 – 13

College Football…

Oregon moved to #2 in the rankings over Florida State in the 2nd week of BCS computerized rankings.  Alabama held on to #1.  Ohio State is #4 and Stanford #5.


Jeff Gordon won at Martinsville to earn his first victory of the season, while Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson remain in a tie for the Chase lead with three races left.

High School….

Congratulations to the Hoopeston Area girls cross county team who qualified for their 8th consecutive Sectional after placing at Saturday’s 1A regional meet at Tuscola. 

Hoopeston Area’s soccer season ended Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 Sectional championship loss to Herscher.  The Cornjerkers finish the season 18-5…the most wins in Hoopeston soccer history.

and…Milford/CP won a birth in the Class 1A football playoffs.  They will face 9-0 Marquette Academy in Ottawa.
