The Chicago White Sox officially announced the $68 million acquisition of Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu on Tuesday.  Abreu’s six-year deal is the largest in White Sox history.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina won his sixth straight Gold Glove award Tuesday, making him one of four players in the World Series rewarded for superior defense this season.
Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia and right fielder Shane Victorino also were honored, along with Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright.


Jonathan Toews had 3 goals and an assist as the Blackhawks beat the Ottawa Senators 6 - 5
