Jacksonville won their first game of the season by beating Tennessee 29-27

St. Louis stunned Indy 38 – 8

NY Giants rallied to beat Oakland 24-20

Pittsburg 23 – Buffalo 10

Ravens got by the Bengals 20-17 in OT

Carolina beat San Francisco 10-9

Arizona 27 – Houston 24

Denver 28 – San Diego 20

New Orleans man-handled Dallas 49 – 17

Monday Night Football – Miami @ Tampa Bay

College Football…

Florida State is No. 2 in The Associated Press college football poll, the Seminoles’ best ranking since 2000.  Alabama remains No. 1.  Ohio State is No. 3, followed closely by Baylor. Stanford is fifth. Oregon dropped to No. 6.  The BCS standings are identical, except Stanford is ranked 4th ahead of Baylor. 

College Basketball….

Illinois beat Jacksonville State 86 – 62.  Joseph Bertrand had a double-double with 20 pts and 10 rebounds.

#1 Kentucky beat Northern Kentucky 93-63

#21 Notre Dame beat up on Stetson 80 - 49


Blackhawks beat the Oilers 5 - 4


Manchester United beat Arsenal 1-0 in EPL action

Real Salt Lake beat Portland 4 -2 in the first game of the MLS Western Conference Finals.


Kevin Harvick won Sunday at Phoenix for the second consecutive year…while Jimmie Johnson finished 3rd to maintain his lead in the Sprint Cup chase with just one race left next Sunday at Homestead.
