Carolina upset the Patriots on Monday Night 24 – 20.  Cam Newton threw 3 TD passes for the Panthers

Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman ruled out Jay Cutler for this Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, as the quarterback continues to recover from a high left ankle sprain.


Luol Deng scored 21 points and the Chicago Bulls overcame a rough shooting night to beat the Charlotte Bobcats 86-81 on Monday for their fifth straight win.  Carlos Boozer had 12 points and 17 rebounds for Chicago

OKC got by Denver 115 – 113

Portland beat Brooklyn 108 – 98

Golden State over Utah 98 - 87

Dallas beat Philadelphia 97 – 94

Memphis got by the LA Clippers 106 - 102

College Basketball….

Michigan State is No. 1 in The Associated Press poll for the first time in 13 years.
The Spartans moved up one spot Monday after beating top-ranked Kentucky in Chicago last week. They took the No. 1 spot by a wide margin, receiving 51 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel.  Kansas is #2, followed by Louisville, Kentucky and Arizona.
