College Basketball….

The Illini fought back to beat UNLV 61 – 59 to move to 6- 0 on the season.  Rayvonte Rice had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Illinois.

#8 Syracuse beat Cal 92 – 81

#10 Wisconsin got by Saint Louis 63 – 57

Indiana beat Evansville 77 – 46


NBA…

Golden State got by New Orleans 102 – 101

Orlando beat Atlanta 109 – 92

Washington beat the Lakers 116 – 111

Brooklyn beat Toronto 102 - 100


College Football…

Northern Illinois completed a perfect season, beating Western Michigan 33-14.  QB Jordan Lynch rushed for 3 TDs.  The Huskies finished 12-0 and now wait for a possible BCS bowl bid.


HS Boys Basketball…

Hoopeston Area rallied from 12-point, first-half deficit to beat Iroquois West 58-42 in the second round of the Cornjerker Classic on Tuesday night.  Brennan Crose and Daniel Lawson both at 17 points for the Cornjerkers.  Mason Layden added 13.

Schlarman lost to Paris 72 – 53

PBL beat Oakwood 68 – 28

Tri-Valley beat A-P 44 – 38

HS Girls Basketball…

Blue Ridge beat Hoopeston Area 45 – 35.  Shelby Holzinger had 14 points and 19 rebounds for the Lady Cornjerkers.

Wrestling…

Bismarck-Henning won their dual against PBL 53 - 18

Hoopeston Area, under first-year head coach Logan Patton, split a triangular meet with Urbana and Westville.  The Cornjerkers beat Urbana 33 – 31, but lost to Westville 57-21.
